John L. Nicholson

John L. Nicholson, 73, of Jenera, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born in Michigan November 19, 1951, the son of the late Charles E. and Edith M. (Ezell) Nicholson. May 31, 1972, he married Marilyn Nessler, who survives in Jenera.

Survivors include his sons, Randall S. Nicholson and John C. Nicholson, both of Findlay; his daughter, Sharon Lynn (Kenny) Day of Joppa, Maryland; his grandson, Brett Nicholson of Findlay; stepgrandsons, Kenny III (Katherine) and Josh, Matt (Casey); and great-grandchildren, Kenna, Matthew, and Kenny IV, all of Maryland; brothers, Dale F. Nicholson of Williamstown, and Bill Nicholson of Findlay; and sisters, Lynn (Tom) Crist of Arlington, Laura (Randy) Robison of Arlington, Ginger (Jerry) Lammers of Leipsic, and Cindy (Scott) Kingsley of Arlington.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, James and Charles; and an infant brother, David Nicholson; and his sister, Sharon Kidd.

John was a member of Findlay Moose Lodge No. 698, past governor, and a member of Legion of the Moose. He enjoyed NASCAR, Sprint, Dirt Track, and Formula 1 racing. He was an avid bowler, the first person to have an 800 series at Southgate Lanes in Bluffton. He collected tools and sports memorabilia. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns and Guardians, and Michigan Football.

Celebration of life will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Findlay Moose Lodge No. 698, 1028 W. Main Cross, Findlay.
