Judith A. Miles

Judith Ann Miles, 85, of Van Buren, peacefully passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria.

She was born June 17, 1940, in Marion, to Clifford and Genevive (Cowell) Rinnert. Judy married the love of her life, Jerry Miles, April 3, 1959, and together they recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary.

Judy graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1958. Her favorite subject was home economics, which she later put to good use, raising her family and working in food service. Judy was always a hard worker. She started working in high school at National City Bank in Marion and later worked for a bank in Findlay. She volunteered at Salvation Army, various committees at Van Buren School, and Van Buren Centennial. Judy worked as a cook at Van Buren School for 15 years before retiring. Judy was a member of Powell United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years and most recently attended Grace Brethren Baptist Church.

In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, shopping, dining out and traveling. She enjoyed visiting Pennsylvania, going with family members to Myrtle Beach and Disney World, and taking a few cruises. Judy loved spending time with her family and often said, "I am lucky to have good kids, and I am proud of my family."

Those left behind to cherish Judy's memory are her loving husband, Jerry and her four children, Timothy (Deanna), Cynthia, Jason, and Nancy. She was blessed with six grandchildren, Jesse (Cassie), Andrew (Becky), Jake (Sierra), Sydney, Nicholas, and Ethan; and six great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Janice (Bill) Probst.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and her son-in-law, Mike Lockard.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the entire staff at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria and Van Buren United Methodist Church.

Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500), where a funeral service will follow visitation at 1 p.m., with Pastor Gina Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Judy requested donations be made to Breakthrough Type 1 Diabetes Foundation (formerly JDRF).
