Donald R. Baltz

Donald R. Baltz, 70, of North Baltimore, died at 1:08 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. He was born July 12, 1955, in Bowling Green, to the late Alvin "Whitey" and Betty Marie (Wise) Baltz. He married Sharon Bryan in 1973, and they divorced.

Don is survived by his sons, Ryan (Tina) Baltz of North Baltimore, Nathaniel (Amanda) Baltz of North Baltimore, William Baltz of North Baltimore, and Lee Baltz of Findlay; brothers, Jay (Deb) Baltz of North Baltimore and Kelly (Sally Dement) Baltz of North Baltimore; sisters, Jean (Steve) Dukes of Van Buren, Amy (John) Boes of Texas, and Ann (Fred-deceased) Richardson of North Baltimore; grandchildren, Shelby (Derek) Kepling, Morgan (Dan) Davis, Brock, Wyatt, Kyleigh, Macie, Deacon, Lane, Ella and Meredith Baltz; and great-grandchildren, Addison, Wade, Colton and Mara.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Wade Baltz; and a sister, Trina Baltz.

Don was a 1973 graduate of North Baltimore High School. He spent his entire working career with the family business, Baltz Plumbing and Heating, where he was a co-owner. He was a member of North Baltimore Volunteer Fire Department from 1987-2009, and served as chief from 1991-2009. Don's greatest joy in life came from spending time with his family.

The family would like to thank all of the nurses, staff, and family who cared for Don over the last couple of years.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.

A private family funeral service will be at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.
