Peggy Fleegle Obituary

Peggy Ann Fleegle

Peggy Ann Fleegle, 94, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 22, 2026, at her residence. She was born May 23, 1931, in Arcadia, to the late Orlo and Dessie (Conine) Wells. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Fleegle, June 23, 1951. He preceded her in death August 6, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents and sister, Maryellen Wells of Littleton, Colorado.

Peggy is survived by four children, Steven (Sheri) Fleegle of Marietta, Chris (Sally) Fleegle of Rockford, Illinois, Jon (Melinda) Fleegle of Findlay, and Carol (Tina Reese) Fleegle of Arcadia and Tampa, Florida; seven grandchildren, Joseph (Krista) Fleegle, Daniel Fleegle, Jordan Fleegle, Austin Fleegle, Lindsay (David) Spridgeon, Landon Fleegle, Lexis (Brett) Bauer; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Peggy was a 1949 graduate of Arcadia High School. As a child, Peggy worked at the family's dairy. Later, she was employed at Marathon Oil Company, Findlay, Arcadia Local Schools as Treasurer, and Hitchings Insurance, Findlay. She also volunteered for many years at Blanchard Valley Hospital and Blanchard Valley Health Services at Eastern Woods Medical Complex.

She loved most being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She absolutely loved all activities involving her family, going to the lake every weekend with her young family, attending as many ball games as she possibly could squeeze in, and even helping every generation of her family set up lemonade stands in her front yard. Her love will remain in our hearts forever, and her legacy will live on through the family she cherished so deeply. Peggy grew up with strong values of family, faith, and kindness that she carried throughout her life. She was always very active, which is a testament to the joy she found in every day. She will be forever remembered.

Peggy was a member of Arcadia Garden Club, Arcadia Lions Club, and Arcadia United Methodist Church. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and her love for her family flowed from that foundation.

Visitation for Peggy will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Arcadia United Methodist Church. Her funeral will begin at 3p.m. Sunday at the church, with Pastor Gerry Hubbs officiating. A brief graveside service will follow at Arcadia Cemetery. COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME is assisting with arrangements.

Memorial donations in Peggy's honor may be made to Arcadia United Methodist Church or Arcadia Local Schools.
