William Boney Obituary
William J. "Bill" Boney, 90, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024.
Bill was born Feb. 8, 1934, the son of Hector and Mollie (Scagnetti) Boney. He married Marilyn Gordon on Oct. 13, 1956, and she preceded him in death. They had four children, Stan Boney (Debbie) of Youngstown, Ann (Tom) Drake of Findlay, Brad Boney of Austin, Texas, and Jeff Boney of Findlay. There are five grandchildren, Elizabeth Drake, Steven (Meagan) Drake, Mollie Boney, Kaylee Boney, and Kami Boney, and four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Peter, and Samuel Drake, and Paisley Fast.
Bill graduated from North Baltimore High School in 1951. He served two years in U.S. Army from 1954-1956. During that time, he was stationed in France for 16 months. He graduated from Findlay College in 1960 with a degree in Business Administration, where he lettered four years in basketball. Bill worked for Marathon Oil Company from 1960 until he retired in 1992 after 32 years of service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at St. Michael The Archangel Church, 750 Bright Rd., Findlay. Fr. Adam Hertzfeld will preside. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Friday at the church narthex. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Michael School, 723 Sutton Place, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
