Wayne Gatchell Obituary
Wayne Allen Gatchell "Mr. Wonderful," 56, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 17, 1966, in Upper Sandusky, to David and Elizabeth (Clark) Gatchell. He married Brenda Pachlhofer, they later divorced, and she survives.
Wayne is also surived by two children, Avery (Tiffany) Gatchell and Alexis Gatchell; significant other, Peter Pagal; three grandchildren, Penelope, Leo, and Ryker; and brother, Scott Gatchell.
Wayne was a graduate of Carey High School and worked in retail for many years as a manager at both Meijer and Big Lots. He enjoyed traveling, antiques, camping, cruises, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A celebration of Wayne's life will be at a later date. The family encourages all in attendance to share their favorite memory of Wayne.
Memorials can be directed to Donate Life Ohio (donatelife.ohio.gov). Online condolences and memories can be shared with the family by visiting coldrencrates.com.

I used to work with Wayne at Meijer..He was always so nice to everyone and a joy to work with

I met Wayne at our Smith Reunion. I was married to his cousin, Otto Smith who passed away last year. So sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry for your loss.
I worked with Wayne at Biglots and after that he was my friend. We enjoyed many garage sales, farmers markets, and lunches together.
