E. Carol Brown

E. Carol Brown, 76, of Jerry City, died at 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. She was born September 18, 1949, in Bartow, Florida, to the late Ted and Cathelene (Eplin) Casdorph. She married Howard Brown Sr., and he survives.

Carol is also survived by her son, Howard (Jody) Brown Jr. of North Baltimore; daughters, Cathelene (Rodney-deceased) Dingledine of Rudolph and Mary (Terry) Woodard of Jerry City; brothers, Thomas (Rebecca) Casdorph of North Baltimore, Kenny (Cathy) Casdorph of North Baltimore, Donald Casdorph of Jerry City, and Terry Lee Casdorph of Wayne; 14 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Scott Wittenmyer.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Ronald, Charlie and Robert Casdorph; and grandchildren, Linda Brown and Kayla Dingledine.

Carol had worked for Radiology Imaging Associates in Ft Pierce, Florida, prior to moving to Ohio in 1995. She was a volunteer and social worker with The Salvation Army in North Baltimore throughout the years. She was always willing to help anyone in need, and no one was a stranger. Family get-togethers, Bingo, eating at Denny's, going to church, worshiping the Lord and loving her family, were what mattered most to Carol.

Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. prior to service. Burial will be at Wingston Cemetery.
