James Weimerskirch Obituary

James Weimerskirch

James "Corvette Jimmy" Weimerskirch passed away peacefully Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Jim was born May 5, 1941, to Ralph and Helen Weimerskirch in Fostoria. He was raised in a large, loving family with five brothers and two sisters.

Jim graduated from St. Wendelin High School in 1959 and went on to serve his country as a proud veteran. He was also a proud member of the Bill W. group for 36 years.

Jim is preceded in death by his loving parents; brothers, Peter, David, and Gary; and sister, Julie.

He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend, Claudia; his sister, Karen Matthews; brothers, Tim (Jacquie) and Steve (Marianne); and many cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever remember him as funny, kind, caring, and the best uncle anyone could ask for.

Those who knew Jim will never forget his quick sense of humor and his ornery grin, the trademarks of a man who always had a smile, a story, or a warm conversation for anyone he met, whether he knew them or not.

A Celebration of Life will be at a later date to honor and remember a truly wonderful man.
