Charles Brown Obituary

Charles E. Brown

Charles E. Brown, 81, of Findlay, passed away at 1:55 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center. He was born to the late Columbus and Reva (May) Brown, July 5, 1944, in Carey. Charles married Judith Shiley, February 18, 1964, and she survives.

Also surviving Charles are their children, Jeffrey Brown of Arcadia and Jenna (Mark) Kramb of Findlay; two grandchildren, Jacob and Nicholas Kramb; his brothers, Melvin Brown of Findlay and Ricky Brown of Upper Sandusky; his sisters, Ruth Prater and Nora Smarr, both of Findlay, Carolyn (Dan) Rice of Indiana, Marsha (Wayne) Schlosser of Columbus and Cindy Fry of Georgia.

Besides his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Brown.

Following high school graduation, Charles spent 40 years in the maintenance department at Union Carbide in Fostoria, Ohio, where he retired in 1998.

He enjoyed camping and working with his hands, doing woodworking, building things and remodeling houses. While passionate about his hobbies, his true pleasure was spending time with his family and friends.

Visitation for friends and family will be from 11 a.m.- noon Monday, March 16, 2026, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, 500 Lima Avenue, Findlay. A funeral service will begin at noon, remaining at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Metzger officiating. Burial will take place at Knollcrest Cemetery, east of Findlay, at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Charles' name to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, Ohio 45840.
