Paul C. Kloeppel

Paul C. Kloeppel, 79, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Putnam County Ambulatory Care Center.

Paul was born August 30, 1946, in Delphos, to Howard and Rita (Geise) Kloeppel, who preceded him in death. On April 30, 1967, he married Roxie (Dunlap) Kloeppel, who survives.

He was a 1966 graduate of Bluffton High School and a member of Pandora Missionary Church. He dedicated 30 years to the Allen County Engineers as a road foreman and was a lifelong farmer. He worked part-time at Ken Lugibihl Auto and Truck Center, drove truck for Schulte Farms, and volunteered as a chaplain at Second Chance Chapel in Beaverdam. He was a proud veteran and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop, cleaning, and liked to keep busy. He, above all, loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Roxie A. Kloeppel of Ottawa, Renee (Lyle) Smith of Bluffton and Dawn Schulte of Dublin; eight grandchildren, Hunter (Abby) Smith, Tom Schulte, Alexa (Juan) Bonifaz, Olivia (Adam) Schwab, Lane Schulte, Autumn Schulte, Gavin Schulte, and Ava Schulte; two great-grandchildren, Charlie and Cooper Smith; and three brothers and a sister.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services. Pastor Matt Steiner to officiate. Burial will follow the service. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services.

Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Pandora Missionary Church, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or 700 Club.
