Vicki Oberhauser Obituary

Vicki Lynn Oberhauser

Vicki Lynn (Healey) Oberhauser, 74, of Alvada, died peacefully Wednesday, April 24, 2024.

She was born Feb. 26, 1950, in Findlay, to Donald and Helen Healey.

Vicki is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jon Oberhauser of Alvada, whom she married Aug. 17, 1991; two sisters, Cheryl (William) Savidge of Carey and Sandy (Alan) Applebaum of Farmington Hills; five children, Kelly Jo Morgan of Fremont, Julie Morgan of Alvada, Ryan (Angie) Oberhauser of Galena, Erin (Tim) Oberhauser of Dublin, and Daniel (Wilson) Oberhauser of St. Paul; grandchildren, Melody, Mason, Holly, Emmy, Jon, Annette, and Jonah; and great-granddaughter, Aubrie.

Vicki attended Carey High School and worked at Westinghouse in Upper Sandusky for 17 years as a night shift foreman. Vicki loved to travel, having taken multiple cross-country trips with her girls to California in her younger years. Later, her honeymoon with Jon was a road-trip to Bar Harbor, Maine, with several stops along the East Coast. She also enjoyed several family trips including to San Francisco, Chicago, New York City, Montauk Long Island, Miami, and a trip to Cape Canaveral, Florida, for the last-ever space shuttle launch.

Later in life, she and Jon bought a cabin in central Minnesota on Lake Mille Lacs where she enjoyed spending time boating and fishing during the summer months.

She was a competitive blackjack and euchre player both with the family and at casinos. She also loved flowers and gardening. Vicki was a loving and devoted friend and mother to her five children. Vicki made quite an impression on all of her kids and grandkids as being relaxed and fun-loving, but also saying things that needed to be said while instilling responsibility and values. Vicki made all the people in her life feel at home. We all loved her dearly and will miss her immensely.

Visitation for friends and family will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2024, until the time of Vicki's celebration of life at 4 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey. Sister Judith Oberhauser will preside. A reception will follow at Carey VFW.

Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home is honored to serve Vicki's family.
