Robert Elling Obituary
Robert Michael (Bob) Elling, 64, died at his home in McComb, Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Bob was born July 17, 1961, to Luther (Luke) Elling and Martha (Koontz, Elling) Hinegardner. His father preceded him in death and his mother died nine days after Bob's passing.
Bob was a 1979 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School where he loved playing football. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Bob retired from Dow Chemical (Val Group) in Findlay, where he was in quality control.
Surviving is his daughter, Erica (Mike) Roof and three grandchildren of Gaylord, Michigan, and one granddaughter of Columbus. Also surviving are three sisters, Jill (Bruce) Dawson of Michigan, Julie Carder of Elida, and Jennifer (Michael Anthony Allen) Gibson of Brunswick, Georgia; two brothers, Bruce (Corinna) Elling of Van Buren and Tony Elling of Bluffton.
Bob was preceded in death by his son, Mitchell Elling.
A private family memorial service will be in the spring.
