Terri Lynne Lauck

Terri Lynne Lauck, 59, of Houcktown, died peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2022, at home. She was born Jan. 28, 1963, in Findlay, to the late Ronald Duane and Linda (Zink) Lauck. She attended Riverdale High School. She married Tommy Essinger. They had two children and later divorced. She then married Andre Grotrian. They had two children and later divorced.

Terri worked for St. Michaels Catholic School and Findlay City Schools as a custodian for many years. She is survived by her significant other of 30 years, Ted Turner; son, Travis Essinger of Findlay; daughters, Christina Essinger (Treg Wells, significant other) of Arlington, and Ashley Grotrian of Houcktown; brother, Ronald Dean (Denise) Lauck of Houcktown; five granddaughters, Kilee, Madison, Taylor, Amiah, and Terianna; great-granddaughter, Emberlee; two nieces, Heather and Rashae; nephew, Jase; two great-nieces; three great-nephews; and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Grotrian; sister, Toni Lauck; and nephew Tylor Lauck, as well as many other loved ones.

She was baptized Dec. 18, 2020.

Before COPD took a toll on her life, she was always on the go. Terri enjoyed canoeing, hiking, and playing pool with Ted. She loved to listen to music and loved dancing. Terri especially loved to do puzzles and play cards with her grandchildren. If you ask her grandkids about playing rummy with grandma, they would say she was the rummy Queen. She was a very charitable person who truly loved her children and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and loved by everyone that knows her. The family would like to thank Bridge Hospice for the care of our mother over the last two years.

Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where Terri's funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022, with Pastor Chris Cravens officiating.
