William May Obituary
William "Bill" May, 66, of Risingsun, passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at his home. He was born July 31, 1959, in Fostoria, to John and Louise (Bulkowski) May. He married JoAnn Bowling, August 31, 1985, in Fostoria.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnn May; son, Andrew May; daughters, Samantha and Miranda May; sister, Gena (Jeff) Pitts; brother, Rob (Jane) May; grandchildren, Grace, Paul and Gavin May; and great-grandson, Casey "Ace" May.
He is preceded in death by his son, Casey May; parents, brother, Rick May; and sisters, Cathy Jo Pultz and Janet May.
Bill was a 1977 graduate of Fostoria High School. He is a U.S. Army veteran. Bill worked in IT for Bowling Transportation. He and JoAnn were the former owners and operators of Billy Bob's in Fostoria and Buckeye Haulers. He is a member of Fostoria Masonic Lodge No. 228 F&AM and a member of Fostoria Eagles Club. He was an avid Cincinnati Reds, Bengals and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He loved collecting Budweiser memorabilia and knives. He enjoyed fishing, visiting Florida, playing poker and pool.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Inc. Fostoria, with Pat Weidner officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, West Millgrove, with military honors by Fostoria United Veterans. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2026, and one hour prior to service Wednesday, both at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Fisher House Foundation or American Heart Association.
