Sara Blasius

Sara Blasius, 54, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023.

She was born to Eugene and Carolyn (Carmean) Smith in Bowling Green. Sara was married to Bernie Blasius for 35 years. Sara graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1987.

She is survived by her parents, Eugene and Carolyn; husband, Bernie; children, Michael Blasius (Ariell Fletcher), William (Alex) Blasius, and Mike Blasius Henning; grandchildren, Logan and Waylon; sister, Abigail (Richard) Welch; and best friend, JoLyn Shively.

Sara's family would like you to know that she was the perfect soulmate of Bernie for 42 years and was what completed him. She was the heart of the family - always there for family and friends with her loving and supportive ways, a peacekeeper yet resolute in her beliefs, a fighter who handled adversity with grace and strength, the best mother, and a great snuggler. Sara's contagious one-of-a-kind laugh lifted spirits and will always be missed.
