Susan L. Blasius

Susan Lorraine Blasius, 70, passed peacefully Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Promedica Toledo Hospital with her husband of 43 years by her side.

Sue was born November 29, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Benjamin and Patricia (Dilts) Burton. She graduated from Pandora High School in 1972 and married Michael Blasius on April 2, 1982. Sue worked for Findlay City Schools as an aide at Millstream Career Center and then as a secretary at Findlay High School. She was also a Girl Scout leader for many years and loved to cook, quilt, and put together jigsaw puzzles. She delighted in coordinating get-togethers with a group of Findlay High School office ladies. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she, with her family's help, decorated whole-heartedly, and she was thrilled to find just the right Christmas gifts for her family.

Those left behind to cherish Sue's memory are her husband, Mike; children, Brock (Kara) Burton of Ottawa and Tiffani (Anneliese) Kolan of Findlay; grandchildren, Cayd, Amelia, Emory, Kasyn, and Brantley Burton, Jaidyn and Mia Wilt, and Myla, Jaxxon, Arabelle, and Stefan Kolan; siblings, Linda Rosenberger, Delene (Pat) Everman, Roy Burton, and Loren Burton; best friends, Chris Zacharias, Sandy Nadler, Barb Whitson George, and Sharon Snyder; and many nieces and nephews.

She was reunited in Heaven with her parents; and niece, Andrea Everman.

Sue loved her kids, grandkids, nieces, and nephews fiercely. Those who knew Sue will remember her as a sweet, loving lady with a giving, beautiful heart who always showed up for her friends and family. Her laugh and hugs were the best and she was a bright light who was the best of all of us.

There will be no services at this time, per Sue's wishes, but there will be a celebration of life in the future.
