Paul Darius Yates

Paul Darius Yates, 77, of rural Forest passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2024.

He was born in Findlay, Ohio Nov. 9, 1947, to Wallace Bishop and Mabel Irene (Waltermire) Yates.

Paul was a 1966 graduate of Findlay High School and then served his county in the U.S. Army. He earned his associate's degree from Tiffin University in 1979. Paul worked at Whirlpool Corporation for many years where he was a supervisor.

He married Patricia Conover in 2000, and she survives along with his two children; Eric (Leslie) Yates, Lori Yates; stepchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Hites, Jill (Tim) Foust, Jayne (Jim) Beltz; grandchildren, Lianna, Elysia, Joslyn, Lorenzo, Sophia, Emery; step-grandchildren, Grant, Trent, Jessica, Shayne, Teja, Brandon and Tessa.

Paul was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Mary Stultz.

He enjoyed playing pool in a pool league, traveling, wood working, hunting and antiquing.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. A private family only burial will take place later.

Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Paul to the Chalmers Wylie Ambulatory VA Clinic, 420 N. James Rd, Columbus, Ohio, 43219.
