Nancy R. Kelley

Nancy R. Kelley, 88, passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at Blake at Edgewater in Indian Land, South Carolina, following a short illness.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Robert and Ethel (Corris) Bryer. She met her future husband, David R. Kelley (now deceased) in the fifth grade. They were married Oct. 15, 1955, and enjoyed 60 years of marriage.

Nancy is survived by her daughters, Ann (James) House and Margaret (Mark) Heuser of Indian Land, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Molly Goldberg, Andrew House, Mitchell Heuser, and Morgan Heuser; and four great-grandchildren, Matilda Goldberg, Dorothy Goldberg, Jupiter House, and Atlas House.

Nancy graduated from Grace Hospital School of Nursing in Detroit and worked as the Occupational Nurse at Marathon Oil Company, Findlay, for 12 years. She was a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. Nancy loved to paint and knit and her pieces are treasured by the family. Nancy and David loved to travel, especially overseas. Favorite destinations included Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, the Mediterranean, and China. They enjoyed numerous cruises and RV camping trips across the United States and Canada.

A private family funeral will be Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Knollcrest Cemetery with Pastor Ruth Whitaker officiating.

All services are being handled by COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay.
