Michael Compton Obituary
Michael D. Compton, 59, of rural Findlay, died at 4:58 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2024, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
He was born March 29, 1964, in Findlay, to James V. and Sue (Peterman) Compton, and they survive.
Michael is also survived by his cousins, Mark, Doug, Brad, Greg, Cheryl, Marna, Monica, Grover, John, Shelba, David, Jim, and Eddie.
He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, James David Compton, on Oct. 5, 2020; and uncle, David Peterman.
Mike attended Liberty-Benton High School for 11 years and then transferred to Findlay High School so that he could play hockey. He graduated from Findlay in 1982. He then earned his Bachelors Degree in Marketing from Findlay College. He spent his summers on a houseboat on Lake Cumberland enjoying boating and skiing. He enjoyed Disney World, hockey, and football, being a huge fan of the Buckeyes.
Visitation will be 12-1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2024, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Maple Grove Cemetery with Chet Conley officiating.
Memorials may be given to National Kidney Foundation, 1373 Grandview Ave. Unit 200, Columbus, Ohio, 43212, or charity of the donor's choice.

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. Thoughts and prayers with you. I also did not know of David's passing. Mother told me often about you taking care of me when I was a baby when Charles was hurt. Fond memories of the boys. Hugs
