Kimberly Gochenauer Obituary

Kimberly Michelle Gochenauer

Kimberly Michelle "Kim" (Box) Gochenauer, 60, of Findlay, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 18, 1962, in Findlay, to Fred and Muriel (Doby) Box.

Kim was a 1981 graduate of Findlay High School. She married her husband, Jerry, on May 9, 1987, and he survives. Kim worked at Whirlpool in Findlay for over 35 years.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; son, Brett Gochenauer; grandchildren, Owen and Chandler Sterling and Garrett and Ethan Brown; brother, Joe (Joyce) Box; stepson, Justin (Angel) Brown; and stepdaughter, Heather (Ed) Sterling.

Kim was an extremely happy person who could light up a room with her infectious smile and laugh. She was giving, compassionate, and quick to offer help to anyone in need. She was a hard worker who would do anything asked of her.

Kim loved all holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas, and couldn't wait to decorate for each season. She always looked forward to Christmas in July music on the radio and television and you could always find her whistling, humming, or singing Christmas songs anytime of the year.

Kim was an amazing woman who was loved deeply by all who knew her. She is truly irreplaceable.

Kim wanted to give a special thank you to Janice and Doug for all the trips to Columbus for testing and treatments and for introducing her to Rooster's. Our family would also like to thank Bridge Hospice for their kindness and care of Kim in her final weeks.

Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, 205 W. Sandusky St., Findlay. Kim's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.

Contributions in Kim's memory may be shared with Cancer Patient Services, 1800 N. Blanchard St. # 120, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.

I only worked with Kimmy for 6 months or so, but in that time she became one of my favorite coworkers I´ve ever had. She was so kind and gentle, but at the same time unknowingly hilarious and ornery in the best way. Her laugh was infectious.
My heart is slightly broken, and I barely knew her. I can´t imagine the loss her family and friends feel. My condolences to you all.
