Jerry Wayne Elliott

Jerry Wayne Elliott, 70, of Findlay, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born Oct. 2, 1952, in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, the son of the late Clyde and Lena (Atkins) Elliott. He married Rosa Hughes on April 9, 1982, and she survives in Findlay.

Jerry's survivors also include his sons, Jamie (Marlena) Elliott of Fostoria and Derrick (Ashley) Elliott of Findlay; four grandchildren, Brittany, Jerrett, Bennett, and Cameron; four great-grandchildren, Ezekiel, Jayden, Ezrielle, and Octavia; and two sisters, Bonnie (Grady) Watkins of Jerseyville, Illinois, and Sue (Morris) Baker of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and three sisters.

Jerry retired in 2013 from Whirlpool Corporation, Findlay, where he was a supervisor in the dish rack department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf. He also was a fan of University of Kentucky in all sports, but his true love was his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Additional visitation will be 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, with Elder Arthur, Roger, and Charles McGuire officiating. Jerry will be buried at Lovley Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Kentucky, where military honors will be accorded.
