Gary E. Weihrauch

Gary E. Weihrauch, 73, of Arlington, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024.

He was born Oct. 24, 1950, in Bluffton, to Russell R. and Anita Joann (Almy) Weihrauch.

Gary married Geraldine "Gerry" Rettig on Dec. 7, 1969, and she survives along with four children, Christopher (Sue) Weihrauch of Findlay, Tamara Weihrauch of Arlington, Bridget (Dan) Rudolph of Findlay, and Amanda (Jeffrey) Meyer of Ottawa; grandchildren, Mariah Weihrauch, Malcolm Williams, Payton (Austin) Bright, Kylee (Bryce) Tichenor, Alec (Mercedes) Tiell, Austin (Cari) Tiell, Cheyenne Meyer, Megan Meyer, Cody Meyer, and Luke Meyer; seven great-grandchildren, Jerome, Daxton, Laken, Landon, Emelia, Bentley, and Evelynn; brother, Larry D. (Rebecca) Weihrauch; and sister, Karen Boutwell.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Tina Tiell; great-granddaughter, Madilyn; and brother-in-law, Mark Boutwell.

Gary was a 1968 graduate of Arlington High School and served his county in U.S. Army National Guard. He worked at Whirlpool for 39 years, retiring in 2009. He enjoyed classic cars and attending car shows and swap meets. Gary also enjoyed NASCAR racing.

Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024, at CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington. Gary's funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2024, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, Arlington, where the family will greet friends from 12-1 p.m. Pastor Steve Ramsey will officiate. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery where friends are encouraged to participate in a cruise to the cemetery.
