Alice Emma (Stahl/DeWese) Loomis
Alice was born at home, in rural Alvada, to the late Charles L. and Inez B. (Fruth) Stahl, April 4, 1936. Neither her parents nor the doctor were aware there were twins until her twin brother, Allen Emmet Stahl, was born. Their three-year-old brother John welcomed them.
Alice started first grade at Arcadia School. Then the family moved to Van Buren. She attended Van Buren School from 2nd grade through graduation. She was involved in various school bands, choirs, school newspaper, Student Council, and was Homecoming Queen attendant.

On August 22, 1992, she married George A. Loomis Jr. They were proud of their home outside Weston, Ohio. J.R. maintained a well-manicured lawn. Alice planted numerous beautiful flowers. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows in June of 2017. All six children and their spouses were attendants.
