Mary Brumbaugh

Mary Brumbaugh, 97, of North Baltimore, died at 7:52 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2026, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born April 17, 1928, to the late Nelson and Ruth (Whitmer) Alexander. She married Lester Brumbaugh June 15, 1949, and he preceded her in death November 7, 2001.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Leslee (George-deceased) Thompson of Marco Island, Florida; son, Michael (Kim) Brumbaugh of Bradner; daughter-in-law, Mary Brumbaugh of North Baltimore; grandchildren, Joe Brumbaugh, Melinda Brumbaugh, Jennifer (Jason) Harden, Ashley (Brian) Walczak, and Ryan Solether; six great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Nelson Brumbaugh; brothers, Ted, Robert, Nelson, and Donald Alexander; and sisters, Kathleen Littleton and Julia Farkas.

Mary was a 1946 graduate of Bowling Green High School. She was a longtime member of St. James United Methodist Church, North Baltimore. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Branson, Missouri, and to Lester's Army reunions, but most of all, attending her grandchildren's sporting events and activities throughout the years.

Funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2026, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. prior to service. Burial will be at New Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, North Baltimore and/or Bridge Home Health and Hospice, Findlay.
