Curtis "Corky" Cole

Curtis "Corky" Cole, 79, of Findlay, passed away peacefully at Bridge Hospice Care Center Sunday, January 11, 2026, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Fostoria, September 18, 1946, to the late Carl and Daisy (Culp) Cole. In 2004, he married Christine Williams, who survives him. They shared over 21 years of loving memories together.

Survivors also include two stepsons, Matthew (Angie) Meyers of St. Augustine, Florida, and Sean (Lisa) Meyers of Dublin, Ohio; his stepdaughter, Lisa (Matthew) Goshe of Worthington; and nine grandchildren, all of whom he considered as his own.

Curtis retired from Honeywell after 35 years of service and worked for an additional 15-plus years in maintenance at TLB Corporation in his retirement. He was a member of College First Church of God, where he and his wife helped teach divorce care classes for many years. He enjoyed riding his bicycle (over 38,000 miles since 2000), hiking, gardening, and traveling. Most of all, Curtis enjoyed making people smile by telling his corny dad jokes. As a dear friend said, "Curtis was one of a kind, and we will all miss his friendly smile and gentle kindness."

Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, with a memorial service at 10 a.m. Pastor and biking buddy Terry Steinhauer will officiate, as requested by Curtis. Burial of his ashes will then follow at Fountain Cemetery in Fostoria.
