Eva Anna George

Eva A. George, 91, of McComb, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at The Meadows of Leipsic.

Eva was born September 6, 1934, in Bloomdale, to the late Lorenzo "Bill" and Agnes (Gary) McDole. She married Irvin George, May 20, 1956, at Bloomdale United Brethren Church, and he preceded her in death May 11, 2018. Eva is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, Gloria Siverling, Linda Ross, Morey Fenstermaker, Sharon Smalley, Cathy Ray, Don King, Dave Sharninghouse, Lorene Raney and Sharon Kreh.

Eva was a 1953 graduate of Bloomdale High School. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in McComb. Eva was a former member of Progress Study Club, former President of the Senior Club and a former Girl Scout Leader. Eva was also a lifelong member of American Legion Auxiliary in McComb. Eva found great joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time in her garden, especially caring for her beautiful flowers. Eva also enjoyed scrapbooking, lovingly preserving memories for her family to cherish. She had a deep interest in genealogy and spent many hours researching and documenting her family's history. One of her greatest joys was traveling and sharing adventures with her beloved husband, Irv.

Visitation for Eva will be from 10 a.m. until time of her Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2026, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 203 West South Street, McComb, Ohio 45858, with Pastor Bob Foltz, officiating. Eva will be reunited with her husband, Irv, at McComb Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Eva's honor to the church or American Cancer Society.
