Evan Zeller Obituary

Evan Alexander Zeller

Evan Alexander Zeller passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, in a kayaking accident near Sheffield Lake where he resided.

Evan was born Oct. 13, 1992, in Bluffton, to Patrick J. Zeller and Mary A. Dunn (Barger).

Evan is survived by his parents; wife, Sandra Zeller (Truong); daughter, Jocelyn Zeller; brother, Patrick Zeller; stepdad, Robert Dunn; stepbrother, Alexander Dunn; stepsisters, Chelsea Dunn and Erin Guerra; two nieces; two nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents whom he loved deeply.

Evan enjoyed the outdoors. Hiking, camping, and fishing were some of his favorites. He loved playing soccer, which he began when he was three years old. He lived life to its top and maintained a keen sense of adventure from the time he was born.

The apple of his eye was his daughter, Jocelyn. He fully embraced fatherhood with dedication to teaching her everything he could.

Evan graduated from Findlay High School and then graduated summa cum laude from University of Toledo in 2018 with a B.S. in Business Administration. Evan worked in the cannabis industry and planned on having his own farm someday as he had a green thumb and loved plants.

Evan's favorite bible verse was Matthew 17:20 â€" "Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there', and it will move. Nothing shall be impossible for you."

A celebration of life service for family and friends will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at St. Marks United Methodist Church with Pastor Dan Toney officiating. A luncheon will be directly after the service at the church "DOCK." The church is located at 800 South Main St. Findlay, Ohio, 45840.

In lieu of flowers, donations of memorial can be made to Evan's wife, Sandra Zeller.

Below is a poem that has gotten me through my hardest days. I hope it helps with knowing we´re Evan is.
If you say he had the strongest faith, then you will believe this. And know one day you will see him again.

To My dearest friends and family, something I would like to say... but first of all to let you know, I have arrived okay. I am writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there´s no more tears of sadness, here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I am out of sight. Remember that I´m with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through, God picked me up and hugged me and he said, I welcome you. It´s good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone. As far as your dearest family they´ll be here later on. I need you here badly; you´re part of my plan. There´s so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man. God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night, the day´s chores but to- flight. God and I are close to you....in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish I could tell you all that god has planned. But if I were to tell you, you would not understand. But one thing is for certain, through my life on earth is over. I am closer to you now, then I ever was before. There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills climb, but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and I´d like it for you too.... that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help someone who is in sorrow and pain, then you can say to God at night.......My day was not in vain. And now I am contented.....that my life has been worthwhile, knowing as I passes along the way, I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low, just lend a hand and pick him up, as on your way to go. When you are walking down the street, and you´ve got me on your mind, I´m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it´s time for you to go.....from that body to be free, remember you´re not going......you´re coming here with me.
