William Veitch Obituary
William Charles "Bill" Veitch left this world Friday, April 7, 2023, in Dallas, Texas.
Bill entered into life Saturday, Sept. 21, 1946, the first child born to Robert and Evelyn (Leader) Veitch in Bloomdale.
He was a quiet child, but loved being with his two younger sisters, Susan and Frances. Bill graduated from Elmwood High School in 1964 and became an electrical engineer. He served his country in U.S. Air Force as a sergeant, spending several years installing electronics in Europe and the Middle East. He was a lover of model trains and had a very nice collection.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sister, Susan McDermott of Sarasota, Florida; sister, Frances (Bill) Williams of Findlay; four nieces and nephews, Tricia McDermott, Marisa McDermott Knopp, Zach Williams, and Ben Williams; three great-nephews, Colton and Ethan Knopp, and Connor Williams; and great-niece, Harper Williams.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Evelyn Veitch.
He will be buried with honor at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
