Wanda Myers Obituary

Wanda J. (Jennings) Myers

Wanda J. Myers, 91, of Leipsic and formerly of Ottawa, died Thursday, February 6, 2025, at The Meadows of Leipsic. She was born May 31, 1933, to the late Gerald and Esther Jennings. On June 22, 1952, she married the love of her life, Ronald G. Myers.

She is survived by her three sons, Stan (Polly) Myers of Ottawa, Frank (Dr. Mary Ann) Myers of Glandorf and Zac (Karen) Myers of Pekin, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Brett (Meliza) Myers, Casey (Randi) Myers, Cory (Sara) Myers, Neil Myers, Dr. Alisa (Chad) Marzec, Veronica (Dustin) Geier and Luke Myers; her brother, Jerry Jennings; four brothers-in-law, Ramon Myers, Jerry Myers, Dick Myers, and Al Myers; and two sisters-in-law: Kathy Radabaugh and Janet Myers.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of almost 68 years, Ronald; her son, Roger Myers; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Myers; two sisters, Mary Ann Combs and Mona Jennings; six brothers-in-law, Bob Myers, Dennis Myers, Mike Myers, Wayne Fry, Junior Combs and Ron Amos; and four sisters-in-law, Sara Fry, Kay Amos, Phyllis Myers and Georgia Jennings.

Wanda was a 1951 graduate of Blanchard High School in Gilboa, where she was valedictorian of her class and also a cheerleader. She was a loving wife and mother, a dog lover, Civil War buff and an avid fan of Cleveland Indians/Guardians.

A small private ceremony for family will be at a later date, followed by a reception at Ottawa Missionary Church. Arrangements are under the direction of LOVE-HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, Leipsic.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Ottawa Missionary Church, 2031 E. Main St., Ottawa, Ohio 45875.
