Vivian Lee Obituary

Vivian Lee

Vivian Lee, 86, of Findlay, passed away Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Sunrise Senior Living, Findlay.

Vivian was born March 24, 1937, in Vanlue, to Milford "Cotty" and Leona (Bayless) Crawford. She married Dan Umbs and they later divorced. She then married Marvin Lee in Feb., 1996, and he survives.

She is also survived by her sons, Michael (Sheila) Umbs and Joseph (Mary) Umbs; stepchildren, Douglas (Toni) Lee and Brenda Collett; grandchildren, Sonja (Brandon) Daniels, Gabrielle (Andrew) Peterson, Mikaela (Jacob) Collins, Moriah (Roderick) Bowdle, Grant Umbs, Kyle (Erin) Umbs, Cody, Umbs, Aaron, Derrick, Amanda, and Spencer Lee, and Dillon and Shane Collett; many great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; son, Phillip Umbs; and sister, Joan (Neil) Ward.

Growing up in Vanlue, Vivian and her family moved to Mt. Blanchard in her teenage years, graduating from Mt. Blanchard High School in 1955. Vivian then enrolled in nursing school at Lima Memorial Hospital where she became a registered nurse. She then worked at Blanchard Valley Hospital until her retirement after 36 years. Vivian was a faithful member of Howard United Methodist Church, where was active in many of their ministries, including the after-school tutoring program, Sunday School, and took communion to the home-bound. She also sang in the church choir and participated in Lakeside Annual Conference. Vivian had a love for traveling. She and Marvin enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and the world. Vivian was also an avid skier, enjoying the time on the slopes out in Colorado. Vivian had a great sense of humor and her laughter to lighten up the room. But more than anything. Vivian loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, until the time of Vivian's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. at Hanneman Funeral Home, 201 Osborn Ave., Findlay, Ohio, 45840, with Lay Minster Marianne Higley officiating. Interment will follow at Zion Bloom Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be gifted in Vivian's honor to Howard United Methodist Church.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the staff of Sunrise Assisted Living and Bridge Hospice for the care of Vivian.

To the family of Vivian... I'm so grateful, blessed and humbled to have been able to serve you and Viv in the last few months of her life.

The many laughs and stories we shared. The gospel songs she would sing on Sunday with me. O, how she enjoyed getting dolled up for us to have services on Sunday.

I will cherish those memories and the memories of seeing how you 2 boys cared for her so genuinely and tenderly. I am blessed to have seen such a beautiful sight.

God bless you all.

Viv, RIH... I'LL SEE YOU SOON FRIEND.
