Suzanne Reichert Obituary

Suzanne Beth Reichert

Suzanne Beth "Sue" Reichert, 59, of Findlay, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, in Cincinnati.

Suzanne was born Sept. 26, 1963, in Findlay. She was the first daughter of Mary Ann and Richard Allen Reichert, both of whom preceded her in death.

Sue was a loving mother, cherished sister, doting aunt, and dear friend to so many. Her greatest joy came from being a mother. She took tremendous pride in her role and treasured time spent with her children. Sue's love and support for her family were unwavering.

She is survived by three children, Samuel Dean Cromer, Benjamin Richard Cromer, and Rachel Anna Cromer; sisters, Kimberly Cain (Michael) and Pamela Ewald (Stephen); nieces and nephews, Katrina Cromer, Madeleine Cain, Nolan Cain, Charlotte Ewald, and Miles Ewald; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Sue had many enduring friendships from childhood. She continued to cultivate strong friendships from college, to mom groups, to coworkers throughout her life. She enjoyed meeting up with friends for dinner out or the occasional trivia night. Her positive and uplifting comments on friends' social media posts were a testament to her kind and supportive nature.

Sue's educational journey was marked by her determination and dedication. She graduated from Findlay High School in 1981. She achieved an Associate Degree in Business Administration from Bowling Green State University, where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. After raising her children, she pursued her nursing education at Wake Technical Community College in 2009. In 2020, Sue earned her Master's Degree in Nursing Education from University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Suzanne's career as a nurse was her true calling, where her passion for caring for others led her to immense satisfaction. She achieved great accomplishments in her field, earning the title of Suzanne Reichert, MSN-NE, CPN, RN llI. Her "dream job" came true in March, 2021, when she joined Cincinnati Children's Hospital in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (DDBP). Sue's expertise and care benefited a wide range of pediatric patients, including those with special needs, developmental disabilities, and complex medical issues. Her recent certification as a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) further showcased her dedication to her profession. She undoubtedly made a positive impact on the countless patients and families she cared for.

Beyond her career, Sue enjoyed spending quality time with her daughter, Rachel, with whom she had a special bond. They loved exploring Cincinnati together. Shopping, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, and attending local sporting events, including Reds games, brought them joy. Sue, like the collective community, was especially fond of Joe Burrow and all the success and excitement he brought to the Bengals. She also participated in several local 3K and 5K walks, displaying her active and vibrant spirit.

Suzanne Beth Reichert will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and treasured memories. Her kind heart, dedication to her family, passion for her work, and unwavering positivity will be remembered fondly. The impact she made on her patients, colleagues, and friends will forever be cherished.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Sue's memory to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where she dedicated her career to caring for others.

A celebration of life to honor and pay tribute to Suzanne will be scheduled for a later date.

Sue always had a smile on her face and a friendly "hello" to everyone she came in contact with. I know I enjoyed playing softball with her and just being her friend.

Please know that I hold your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Susie what a true blessing you were as a friend for more than 3 decades. You were a constant and never let the obstacles that were thrown at you get you down. What a great mom/parent you were in raising and putting your kids absolutely #1! It shows in what great adults they have turned out to be, what a reflection to the work you did as a present parent. God gained a wonderful Angel! Love you Susie

Suzanne was my friend since childhood. We played softball, attended college together and stayed in touch over the years. She was kind and mindful of others. My heart is broken for her family.
