Suzanne L. Cole

Suzanne L. Cole, 90, of Ft. Myers, Florida, and most recently of Lebanon, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, surrounded by her children.

She was born March 25, 1932, in Port Clinton, the daughter of Howard Bahnsen and Wilma (Smith) Bahnsen. Suzanne graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1950. She worked as a secretary for Bingham Herbrand Corporation, Fremont, from 1950-1953. She married Robert E. Cole of Findlay on Nov. 26, 1953. She was a secretary for Ohio Oil Company, Findlay, until 1960. She also worked at Theatrical Accessories, Findlay, assembling assorted products when her daughters were younger. She later became Assistant to the President and Owner. Suzanne and her husband retired to Ft. Myers, Florida part-time in 1989 and then full-time in 1992.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laura Cole of Novato, California, and Lisa (Mark) Abbott of Maineville; and grandchildren, Ashley (Matt) Holl of St Louis, Missouri, Grant Abbott of Louisville, Kentucky, and Riley Brockman of Novato, California.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Cole; parents, Howard Bahnsen and Wilma Hofer; brother, John Howard Bahnsen; and grandparents, John Bahnsen, Henrietta Nuber Bahnsen, Lawrence Moffit, and Bertha Grieger.

Per Suzanne's wishes, there will be no funeral.

To honor her memory, donations can be sent in her name to Sycamore Presbyterian Church, 11800 Mason Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio, 45249.
