Susan Langstaff Obituary

Susan E. Langstaff

Susan E. Langstaff, 69, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Manor at Greendale.

She was born June 8, 1953, in Findlay, to Francis G. (Joe) and Frances E. Weitz. She married the love of her life, Jack E. Langstaff, on June 30, 1972.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, F. Emily Langstaff; son, Nathaniel E. Langstaff; sister, Pamela McMenamin; brother-in-law, Dennis McMenamin; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, William J. Weitz and David A. Weitz; and sister, Barbara J. Risser.

Susan was a 1971 graduate of Findlay High School and State Beauty Academy, Findlay, in 1972. She taught at Millstream East Career Center for many years until she founded Artisan College of Cosmetology in 2007 with her husband. She enjoyed gardening, visiting North Carolina, and caring for her children and all of her pets. Her big heart and love she gave freely to the world will be deeply missed. A favorite passage of hers is from Sarah Young's "Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence."

"Trust Me in the midst of a messy day. Your inner calm--your Peace in My Presence--need not be shaken by what is going on around you. Though you live in this temporal world, your innermost being is rooted and grounded in eternity. When you start to feel stressed, detach yourself from the disturbances around you. Instead of desperately striving to maintain order and control in your little world, relax and remember that circumstances cannot touch My Peace.

Seek My Face, and I will share My mind with you, opening your eyes to see things from My perspective. Do not let your heart be troubled, and do not be afraid. The Peace I give is sufficient for you."

A private service will take place for family at Maple Grove Cemetery conducted by Pastor Doris Mars from St. John's Lutheran Church.

Memorials can be made to City Mission of Findlay.
