Steven Shiley Obituary
Steven E. Shiley, 79, of Fostoria, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at his home. He was born October 13, 1946, in Fostoria, to Harland and Mary (Talbott) Shiley. He married Jean Welly, September 27, 1969, in Fostoria. She passed away March 9, 2005.
He is survived by children, Stephanie (Jared) Somerlot and Damon Shiley; sister, Judy (Charlie) Brown; grandchildren, Shawn and Donn Bradner, Brayden Somerlot, and Destinee Nagel; great-grandchildren, Ava, Aydin, Asher and Blair.
Steven is preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Steven was a graduate of Fostoria High School. He worked in several factories in the area, most recently AFS in Tiffin. He loved his muscle car and was a fan of football, especially the Buckeyes and the Browns, but he also enjoyed NHRA and NASCAR.
Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Harrold-Floriana Funeral Home, Fostoria, with Chaplain Stephen Johnson officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home by United Veterans of Fostoria Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to Elara Caring Hospice or United Veterans of Fostoria Honor Guard.
