Dorothy O'Brien

Dorothy Mary O'Brien, 88, of Findlay, and formerly of Taunton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 31, 2026. She was born December 9, 1937, in Taunton, Massachusetts, to the late Joseph and Mary (Ryan) McKenna. She married Richard O'Brien, and they later divorced. Surviving are three sons, Arthur (Julie) O'Brien of Findlay, Patrick O'Brien of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and Walter O'Brien of Stowe, Vermont. Dorothy is also survived by her grandchildren, Craig O'Brien, Brittany O'Brien, Kaitlyn O'Brien, Tyler O'Brien, Morgan (Cody) Black; and great-grandchildren, Callie O'Brien, Emmie O'Brien, Henry Black, Max O'Brien, Ruby Black and Sloan O'Brien.

He was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Ann O'Brien; daughter-in-law, Kimberly O'Brien; parents, Joe and Mary McKenna; brother Joe McKenna; and sister Ann Rebello.

Dorothy spent over 20 years working for the State of Massachusetts Division of Employment Services. Dorothy's passion in life was caring for her family, but most importantly, her daughter, Shirley.

A private family graveside service will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery in Taunton, Massachusetts, where Dorothy will be laid to rest alongside her daughter, Shirley.

Memorial contribu-tions can be made in memory of Dorothy to Awakening Minds Art, 1640 Tiffin Ave, Findlay, OH 45840. awakeningminds.org/shirley.

Arrangements have been entrusted to CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Arlington.
