Shane C. Wineland

Shane Christopher Wineland, 52, of Findlay, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 22, 2025.

He was born November 6, 1972, to his parents, James and Judy Wineland of Findlay.

Shane was a 1991 graduate of Van Buren High School. Over the years, he held many jobs and made friends everywhere he went. He had a knack for making you feel like you belonged, no matter who you were or your circumstances.

Shane was a proud and loving grandpa; his grandsons were his world, and he would take any opportunity to tell you about them. He was a talented artist, avid fisherman, and aspiring chef (he liked to think of himself as Emeril's understudy). Shane was the type of person who cracked a joke, no matter what the situation, and tried to make you smile. He was someone who always kept you on your toes; you never knew what was coming. Even while his health was declining, he kept this talent going strong. He enjoyed being involved in church activities and helping anyone in need.

Shane is survived by his father, James of Findlay; son, Jacob (Amber) Wineland of Rawson; his grandsons, Justin, Zayn, and August. In addition, he is survived by his brother, Ryan of Columbus, and sister, Amber (Matthew) of Findlay.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy; and brother, Nathan.

Friends and family may visit from 10-12 p.m., Saturday, April 26, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Funeral services for Shane will begin at noon following visitation, with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will follow at Hasson Cemetery in Jenera.

Family is requesting that anyone attending to wear Hawaiian shirts or casual attire.
