Sara Jane Fry

Sara Jane (Myers) Fry, 83, of Findlay, passed away at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital. Sara was born Sept. 16, 1939, in McComb, to Glen Myers and Grace (Beck) Myers. Sara married Wayne Fry and he preceded her in death May 31, 1985.

Sara had two children, a son, Daniel J. Fry, who is deceased. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon Wells of Findlay; six grandchildren, Andrew Wells (Ashley Elliott), Kendall Wells (Steven Gitcheff), Kira (Lloyd) Pick, Adam Fry, Katy (Blake) Hamlin, and Merritt Fry. A seventh grandchild, Matthew Fry, preceded her in death. Three great-grandchildren also survive, Jayden and Kallie Gitcheff, and Avery Elliott.

She is also survived by siblings, Ramon (Mary Jo) Myers, Jerry Myers, Richard Myers, Alan (Sherry) Myers, Kathy Radabaugh, and Mike (Alice) Myers. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Ronald Myers, Kay Amos, Robert Myers, and Dennis Myers.

Sara was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, was a 4-H advisor for 25 years, and former member of Red Hat Society. She was a fan of all The Ohio State sports and Cleveland Indians baseball team. Sara worked as a beautician for 64 years, mostly at Carol's Beauty Shop in Benton Ridge.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022, at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, and 10-11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 23, 2022, at the funeral home. Sara's funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gay Blau officiating. Burial will follow at Benton Ridge Cemetery.
