Ruth Ann Price
Ruth Ann Price, 77, of Wharton, passed away peacefully and was reunited with her husband, Billy, on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Serenity Spring Senior Living, Arlington.
Ruth Ann was born Nov. 21, 1946, in Kenton, to Raymond E. and Leah Jane (Parsell) Hougendobler Sr. She married Billy G. Price on Aug. 14, 1966, at the Methodist Church in Forest, and he preceded her in death Jan. 9, 2024.
Ruth Ann is survived by three children, Jeff (Linda) Price of Piqua, Chad (Raquel) Price of Carey, and Mark (Nicole) Price of Vanlue; six grandchildren, Treg, Leanne, Wyatt, Faith, Richard, and Waylon; sister, Barbara Martin; brother-in-law, Jon (Patricia) Price; and sister-in-law, Elaine Price.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond "Hoggie" Hougendobler Jr.; and brothers-in-law, Thomas Martin and Joe Price.
Ruth Ann was a member of the second graduating class of Riverdale High School in 1964. She worked for RCA, Riverdale Local Schools, and was a homemaker. Ruth Ann was a faithful member of Wharton Methodist Church and former member of Tots to Teens. Family was the most important part of Ruth Ann's life. She was always there supporting her children and grandchildren's academic and sporting events. Ruth Ann and Bill enjoyed many years of watching the girl's state basketball tournament in Columbus, as well as, being a big Ohio State fan. She was a caring person who always welcomed others with open arms. Ruth Ann took pride in her home, being a farmer's wife and putting others before herself. Ruth Ann loved to bake and cook and was known for her tremendous cookies. Ruth Ann will be deeply missed by all those she knew.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, 2024, until the time of Ruth Ann's funeral at 12 p.m. at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, 225 W. Findlay St., Carey, Ohio, 43316, with Pastor Rex Roth officiating. Burial will follow at Wharton-Richland Union Cemetery, Wharton.
