Ruth Pickens Obituary
Ruth E. Pickens, 95, of Findlay, entered eternal rest Monday, June 16, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center with her loving family beside her.
She was born in Continental, Ohio, to Frank and Nellie (Higley) Engard January 19, 1930. Ruth married Robert M. Pickens, and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Ruth was a graduate of McComb High School. She was a member of the Morris Chapter of Eastern Star No. 265 in North Baltimore, Findlay Ladies Shrine Club, and Dendarah Court No. 10 L.O.S.N.A. (Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America) in Toledo.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Joseph) Keller of Findlay; seven grandchildren, Kellee (Mike) Ott, Elizabeth (Todd) Baldridge, Christopher Koziel, Colette (Bradd) Parish, Robert (Gwendolyn) Keller, Joseph (LaTisha) Keller II, and James Keller; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler Parish, Drew Parish, Brooke (Dalton) Billock, Benjamin Baldridge; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter, Saylor Jude Billock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert M. Pickens; son, Robert M. Pickens Jr.; daughter, Judith Powell; brothers, Harold, William, and Paul Engard; and sisters, Betty Wise, and Helen Westenbarger.
Special thanks to Brock for being her person at The Heritage. Also, thank you, Taylor, Talisha, and Morgan, for taking such good care of her.
Friends and family may visit from 12-1:30 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). Ruth's funeral service will begin at 1:30 p.m. following visitation in the funeral home with Pastor Jim Klausing officiating. Interment will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.
Memorial contribu-tions in Ruth's name may be made to Shriners Children's Ohio Patient Services, 1 Children's Plaza 2 West, Dayton, Ohio 45404.
