Rosalie Ann Dosh

Rosalie Ann Dosh, 85, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at Willow Ridge - Betty House of Bluffton.

Rosalie was born May 14, 1938, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Carl and Marguerite (Willing) Dietzel. She married Richard L. Dosh on June 7, 1958, and he preceded her in death Oct. 16, 1995.

Rosalie was a graduate of Bartlesville High School and later attended Findlay College. She dedicated 30 years as a secretary to College First Church of God of Findlay, where she was a member and sang in the choir for many years. She later attended First Mennonite Church of Bluffton. Rosalie volunteered at Blanchard Valley Hospital of Bluffton and Maple Crest Senior Living, where she lived for a number of years. She enjoyed helping those around her and was always touched by song. She enjoyed writing poems and playing jokes on those who were special to her. Above all, she was a very devoted mother who took great pride in her family.

She is survived by three daughters, Judith (Ralph "TR") Steiner III of Bluffton, Beverly (Ronald) Robinson of Tecumseh, Michigan, and Amy (Mark) Benson of Breckenridge, Colorado; six grandchildren, Timothy Robinson of Tecumseh, Michigan, Adam Robinson of Milan, Michigan, Emily (Scott McHenry) Steiner of St. Louis, Missouri, Tad Steiner of Madison, Wisconsin, Kira Benson of Seattle, Washington, and Elliot Benson of Vancouver, Washington; two sisters, Janet (Merle) Lea of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and Doris Lee of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and special cousin, Mary Lou (George) Thomas of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania.

Rosalie was also preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Fredrick Dietzel and William Dietzel.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:45 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2024, at Bluffton First Mennonite Church. Rosalie's services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Phil Yoder officiating.

I remember spending time with both your parents. Mom was a great hostess and helped new students to feel welcome and safe in a new environment. Hope you are comforted by the knowledge that many of us remember her and her wonderful cooking.

You have my sympathy on the loss of your mom. Remember your mom from College First. Loved her sense of humor and laugh. Missed her when she left. When was at Willow Ridge my uncle was there too. Would try to visit with your mom.

Rosie was a dear person...always ready with a cheerful smile and so personable. She truly cared about people. We were blessed to know her all those years she was the office secretary at College First Church of God in Findlay. Family, we are so sorry for your loss.

Oh, there are so many great memories of Aunt Rosie. Talking, and laughing, and playing cards. And of course, the concrete goose collage. May she rest in peace and continue the laughs in heaven. All my love to the family.

I have great memories of playing cards and socializing with Rosie over numerous holiday family gatherings. She was a tremendous pinochle (peanuckle) player and could beat anyone else in the family. I can also recall with great fondness the way she would lovingly greet my brother and I with a hug and kiss. She was a great and loving person.
