Ronald G. Myers

Ronald G. "Ron" Myers, 78, of Findlay, died at 7:13 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2023, at his residence.

He was born Jan. 31, 1945, in Kenton, to Lawrence and Mary Jane (Bayliff) Myers. He married Helen Kathleen Rose on May 22, 1964, and she survives.

Ron's other survivors include his sons, Matthew (Kimberly) Myers and Jeromie Myers, both of Mt. Blanchard; daughters, Becky (John) Fulcher and Heather (Thad) Davidson, both of Findlay; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy (Kaylee) Myers of Austintown, Timothy (Michelle) Myers of Massillon, and Mike (Sharee) Myers of Lexington, Kentucky; and sister, Donna Gilgenbach of Leipsic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Burt, Jack, and Dickie Myers.

Ron was a 1963 graduate of Riverdale High School. In 1999, he retired as a Captain in the Findlay Fire Department. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Findlay, where he sang in the choir. He also sang with the Millstream Singers. Ron also worked for Garlock Brothers, but his first love was enjoying his grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, until the time of Ron's funeral at 11:30 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Findlay, with Pastor Robert Kruger officiating. Full military rites will be conducted at the conclusion of the services at the church by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
