Roger Patterson Obituary
Roger D. Patterson, 76, of Findlay, peacefully passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center with his loved ones at his side.
He was born in Findlay February 19, 1949, to Charle M. and Helen (Wilson) Patterson. Roger and Dana were united in marriage in 1969. In this marriage, they had three children, Anna, Brian, and Melodie.
Roger was City of Findlay Reservoir caretaker for many years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting as a spare-time interest. In his later years, he developed an interest in go-kart racing.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Dana; three children, Anna Patterson of Findlay, Brian (Jen) Patterson of Woodstock, GA., and Melodie (Shawn) Vermillion of Findlay; four grandchildren, Faith Johnson, Andrew Metzger, Alec Patterson, and Tyler Patterson; and one great-granddaughter, Charlie Parker Metzger. He is also survived by his two siblings, Gary (Theresa) Patterson and Pat (Alyssa) Patterson, both of Findlay.
He was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Rusty, Tim, and Terry Patterson; sister, Janet Nungester; and grandsons, Derek V. Johnson and Ethan M. Vermillion.
Friends and family may visit from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500). A reflection of Roger's life will follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Donna Ebanks celebrating.
Memorial contribu-tions in Roger's name may be made to Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
