Roberta Knipp Obituary
Roberta M. Knipp, 103, of Vanlue, passed away Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Roberta was born December 22, 1921, in Prestonburg, Kentucky, to the late Elmer and Amy Music. She married Calloway Morgan March 16, 1940, and he preceded her September 9, 1975. She then married Howard Knipp, and he also preceded her in death. Roberta is survived by her sons, Tom (Deb) Morgan and Galloway Morgan; grandchildren: Kelly, Julie, Ryan (Miranda) Nicole (Ian), Kristi, Tyrone (Laura), Brian, Kim (Paul) and Greg (Andrea); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Helen Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her son, Eugene Morgan, her five brothers, and two sisters.
Roberta worked for RCA in Findlay. Roberta enjoyed fishing and playing a good round of golf. Roberta loved working in her garden, making sure everything looked immaculate. Every Tuesday, Roberta enjoyed traveling to Bluffton Senior Center, where she was able to spend time with her dear friends. Roberta was a tremendous cook, known for her chocolate pies. Roberta enjoyed dancing Polka even at the young age of 100. Roberta had a feisty side to her, but more than anything, she had a heart of gold. She would help anyone in time of need. She truly cherished the time she spent with her family, especially at Christmas time.
Visitation for Roberta will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday June 30, 2025, at Stombaugh-Batton & Snyder Funeral Home, Carey. Roberta's Celebration of Life Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Van Horn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Roberta's honor to Bluffton Senior Center.
