Robert Weist Obituary
Robert D. Weist, 82 of Maineville, Ohio, and formerly of Findlay, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was born in Findlay, to Paul Robert and Colleen (Young) Weist October 12, 1942, and they preceded him in death. Robert married Nancy Kinn January 25, 1963, and she survives along with three daughters, Mischelle (Tony) Bussell of New Tazewell, Tennessee, Melinda (Steve) Vaughn of Pataskala, Melissa (Mick) Kowitz of Maineville; son, Mathew (Christy) Weist of Archdale, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren, Shaun, Josh, Sarah, Mackenzie, Libby, Casey, Ellie, Drew, Noah, Jake, Logan, and Connor; and four great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Graham, Evelyn, and Grayson. Robert is also survived by his sister, Susan Meyers; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don Kinn, Jim (Janet) Kinn, Chuck (Suzie) Kinn, Mike (Katherine) Kinn, Pat (Greg Inbody) Hanneman, Ginny (Tom-deceased) Renninger, Clete (Jill) Kinn, Jr, Theresa (Bob-deceased) Albers, Dave Kinn, and Rick Kinn.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracie Gerringer.
Robert served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for many years in the trucking industry for several liquid transport companies. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed airplanes, camping, woodworking, and was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and a member of Knights of Columbus. Robert was an animal lover and loved dogs. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Downtown. Burial will follow at Knollcrest Cemetery.
Memorial contribu-tions can be made in memory of Robert to Grace Hospice, 4435 Aicholtz Road, Ste. 400, Cincinnati, Ohio 45245 or a charity of the donor's choice.
