Robert Hildebrand Obituary

Robert D. "Bob" Hildebrand

Robert "Bob" Dean Hildebrand, 71, of Findlay, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family and embraced by his faith in Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.

He was born May 10, 1954, to Henry and Maxine (Brown) Hildebrand in Findlay. On December 13, 1975, Bob was united in marriage to Kimberly "Kim" Rousey. Together, they built a home and raised their two daughters.

Bob was an active member of Parkview Christian Church, where he served as a bass guitarist in the Praise Band. Having begun playing the bass guitar at age 14, Bob joined numerous musical groups throughout his career, including Bruce Band, Ebenezer, and the Christian band Final Chapter, to name a few. After spending 25 years as an electrician at Ball Metal, Bob retired.

He enjoyed helping everyone he could, especially his family. Bob enjoyed taking long drives to explore and get lost with his wife, Kim. As a devoted husband, an encouraging father, and a grandfather with a spirit for adventure, he touched the lives of those around him.

Those left behind to cherish Bob's memory are his loving wife, Kim; his two beloved daughters, Jessica (Jonathan) Grennell and Jennifer (Jared) Bowdish; and three special grandchildren, Oliver Bowdish, Hendrick Bowdish, and Franklin Grennell. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Martha Depuy, his brother, Thomas "Tom" Hildebrand, and too many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends to mention each by name.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Clarence Hildebrand and George Hildebrand; and sisters, Carolyn Logsdon and Mary Richardson.

A celebration of Bob's life will be from 5-8 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, at Parkview Christian Church, 15035 OH-12, Findlay, 45840.

Memorial contribu-tions in Bob's name may be made to Parkview Christian Church. HUFFORD FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500), is honored to serve Bob's family.

I met Bob when I was 12 years old! He taught me how to play the bass guitar and later we became great friends at church. I miss your humor, your service to the church, and you made me a better person. Love ya brother and will see you in heaven.

Kim and family,
I am so saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I know the pain associated with losing a husband and a father, both great losses. I will be praying for you that you find a peace and contentment. That is what I prayed for and received from my God when Bill passed away. So thankful for our Lord Jesus Christ!! Bob was a great man and a good friend to Bill and me, so glad our paths crossed in life. Sympathy and prayers go out to you. Love, Carol Hartman
