Robert Carl "Bob" Elliott

Robert Carl "Bob" Elliott of Findlay passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, following a short illness.

Bob was born May 25, 1934, in Findlay, to Carl and Beatrice (Deeds) Elliott. He married Barbara Foote on Nov. 16, 1957, in Findlay, and she survives. They shared 66 years of marriage together.

Bob is also survived by three daughters, Pam (Jeff) Carles of Rawson, Patty (Shane) Spencer of Spokane, Washington, and Penny (Chuck) Welch of Lehi, Utah; five grandchildren, Simeon (Angela) Spencer of Spokane, Washington, Alanna (Cody) Razo of Spokane, Washington, Seth Carles of Pandora, Ryanne Welch of Lehi, Utah, and Nick Welch of Provo, Utah; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Tom.

His first love was his family. No matter how far away they were, he was always concerned about their well-being. His second love was vehicles - cars, pick-up trucks, mowers, and tractors - anything with a motor. He completely restored two older cars, a 1941 Ford and a 1937 Chevy, which he enjoyed taking to car shows. His third love, after retirement, was time at the farm, mowing, cutting down trees, and cleaning the creek.

Bob served in U.S. Army from 1954-1956 in Germany. He worked for Ohio Bell Telephone Company, now AT&T, for 41 years, retiring in 1994.

There will be no visitation. Bob's graveside service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 29, 2024, at Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay, with full military rites conferred by Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
