Bob was a calm and vital part of the life of my mom (Eileen) myself and my five siblings for over 40 years. He luckily embraced the chaos of large family life that involved many ups and downs through smiles, laughter, and tears. Bob was quick to accept and welcome people with no judgment, a smile, and the offer of a drink! He was papa to his grandchildren who lovingly stood by his side through the end, telling him he was the best papa ever! There are luckily years of memories watching the sunset dip over the lake, Marvin, Bob, playing euchre and kicking the butts of all their opponents and. puttering in the kitchen to make sure snacks and drinks were available to all. Things will not be the same without Bob, but we take comfort knowing we were there for him because we loved him and he loved us.

In 1972, I began working at Eckrich in Findlay. We all knew Bob as "Big Time." I was told that it was because of the late model Cadillac that he drove. He was friendly, dressed well, always had a smile on his face, and had a good rapport with his customers and co-workers. It's good to know that he lived well.
