Rick Stratton Obituary
Ricky D. Stratton, 67, of Mount Cory, passed away at 12:05 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2024, at Bridge Hospice Care Center.
He was born Jan. 5, 1957, in Bluffton, to Rolla Sr. and Jean Ann (Amstutz) Stratton. Rick married Mona Gregory on Aug. 22, 1981, and she survives.
Rick is also survived by his daughters, Lea (Jeff) Stratton and Tara (Ryan) Fackler; seven grandchildren, Anthony (A.J.), Heidi, Greyson, Landon, Eva, Urijah, and Aerianah; brother, Rolla Jr. (Kathy E.) Stratton; and sisters, Kathy L. Stratton, Sharon Colburn, and Lillie (Daniel) Brewer.
She was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Robert Stratton.
Rick was greatly loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A graduate of Mount Cory High School, Rick enjoyed a variety of jobs. He began as a laborer in a local factory, spent several years as a Corrections Officer at Hancock County Jail, and finished his working years at Lowe's Distribution Center.
He enjoyed going to casinos, working puzzles, playing computer games, and camping, but most of all, spending time with family and friends. Rick and Mona have expressed that they would "live nowhere else" because they have the world's best neighbors!
Rick's celebration of life will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Mount Cory Park Building, Park Street, Mount Cory, Ohio, 45868.
Memorials may be shared in Rick's name with Bridge Hospice Care Center, 1900 South Main Street, Findlay, Ohio, 45840.
