Delmar lived fairly close to us,and I would stop if I happened to see him outside. Always a good talk. A nice man to have known.

I always found Delmar to be an engaging guy, full of energy, having an animating personality, a real character, and a good storyteller. I'm grateful that Marilyn and he could share so many life-giving years together. Never enough, I know. The poet Mary Oliver once said, "Be alive...until your not."
Delmar certainly embodied that sentiment.

Mr. Nichols was our teacher at Lakota High School in the early 60s. He taught my sister Judy and my bother Mick. Rest in peace, Mr. Nichols.

So sorry for your loss. You and Del had many good years together and made many memories from your Hawaiian vacations and other travels. I know Jeff and Kathy and their children gave you much joy. I will be in Florida during the celebration. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers

Mrs. Nichols,
Your husband was my teacher in high school at Ottawa Glandorf, class of `71. I enjoyed being in his class, he was a big asset to the school. Also remember running into him at his garage sale a few years ago! He hadn´t changed! He will be greatly missed. Prayers go your way.
