Richard K. "Dick" Flick

Richard K. "Dick" Flick, 93, of Benton Ridge, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022.

2 Corinthians 5:8 "we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

Richard is absent from his earthly body and present with the Lord.

He was born Dec. 21, 1929, in Benton Ridge, to the late Mildred V. and Roy E. Flick. He married Geraldine Mae Mcloughlin on Dec. 26, 1955, and she preceded him in death Dec. 30, 2017.

He was the father of two children, a son, Philip A. Flick (deceased), and a daughter, Diane Boguski and son-in-law, Bruce Boguski of Findlay. He was the grandfather to Ryan G. Davis of Columbus.

His brother, Roger Flick, also preceded him in death.

Richard passed away after breaking his right hip from a fall at home and was unable to recover from that surgery. He retired from Whirlpool and could be found in his garage always working on a project. He loved camping and traveling. Richard and Geraldine were ball room dancers and were fondly remembered as "Fred and Ginger" on the dance floor.

His legacy was more of the man he was rather than what he accomplished. He loved his family well. He was private man, and a true gentleman of honesty, integrity, and truth.

The family would like to thank his caregivers at Birchaven and his hospice care team for their tender loving attention during his illness.

Dick's funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2023, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Benton Ridge Cemetery.
